Pont l’Évêque is a Normandy cheese rooted in tradition. Pont l’Évêque has been enjoyed in France since the 12th century and has been honoured with AOP (Appellation d’Origine Protégée) status. Products labelled with this mark are produced, processed and refined in a clearly defined region, safeguarding its authenticity and quality. This mixed-rind cheese, made from pasteurised cow’s milk under strict PDO regulations, promises an authentic taste experience. The square shape, whitish to reddish crust, and ivory to straw yellow paste reveal a supple, slightly orange texture. With a taste profile of butter and hazelnut, this cheese is rich and creamy with a hint of tanginess. The creamy texture of this cheese pairs beautifully with apples, pears, grapes, and almonds. You can also serve it with a baguette or crackers. Melt Pont l’Évêque to elevate dishes like gratins, quiches or fondue.
